And thinkin...Seriously--they are incomprehensible!

And thinking about your last statement gives me so much more respect for you that you have stuck with the Bible this whole year. Zechariah and Revelation have been HARD for me. If the whole Bible were like this to me, I don't know that I would have made it:)!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15063678082377147197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112439593032667008.post-65960362801081037802010-12-23T11:42:14.357-08:002010-12-23T11:42:14.357-08:00Whatever else we may disagree on, we seem to be in...Whatever else we may disagree on, we seem to be in agreement that all of this symbolism is rather incomprehensible. =)

It may also help in your understanding of me if I point out that this statement of yours pretty much sums up my feelings about most of the Bible:

Is it bad that I sort of think Revelation doesn't apply to me? I mean, I know it is supposed to be telling about the end times and all, but the symbolism is so heavy that I can't make heads or tails of it. And because it is so inaccessible, I just don't feel, deep down, like I am the intended audience. I just feel like if this were for me, I would understand more about it. Even OT prophecies, which were most definitely not written for me, are generally more accessible than Revelation. So maybe saying that Revelation doesn't apply to me is using the wrong phrase. It's more like I don't think it is for me.Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16846371347200009801noreply@blogger.com
